Applied Research Journal of Geographic Information System (ARJGIS) welcomes the submission of manuscripts in the various fields relating to the Geographic Information System applications.

Instructions for Authors

Applied Research Journal of Geographic Information System (ARJGIS) is a scholarly on-line, peer-reviewed and international journal of Geographic Information System that publishes manuscripts that meet scientific excellence.

Electronic submission of manuscripts is strongly encouraged. The text, tables, and figures should be included in a single Microsoft Word file attachment (preferably, texts should be typed in Arial font, size 12 and double spacing).

A manuscript number will be mailed to the corresponding author same day, within 24 hours.

Review process:

Manuscripts are reviewed by qualified reviewers. The peer review process is less than 2 weeks. Hence, reviewers’ comments will be returned to the author(s) within 2 weeks after manuscript submission. The accepted manuscripts are published online immediately upon receiving the final version.
Authors may suggest 2 to 4 reviewers although, Applied Research Journal of Geographic Information System (ARJGIS) may designate other reviewers

Manuscript format:
Manuscript contents should be arranged as follows: Title, Abstract, Introduction, Study Approach, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgement (if any), and References.

Title: Title should be short and explanatory, describing the content of the paper.

Abstract: Abstract should be between 100 and 250 words, briefly describing the background, aims, study approach, findings and conclusions. The abstract should be written using past tense.
Following the abstract, provide about 3-6 keywords, arranged alphabetically.

Introduction: Introduction should reflect the statement of the problem, relevant literature, proposed approach and specific aim or objective of the study.

Study Approach: Study Approach should be clear and complete, explaining all the procedures and methods, in a way that can be reproduced elsewhere. However, only new procedures should be detailed while previously published procedures can be cited and referenced
Results and Discussion: Results should be presented clearly. The findings should be presented using Tables, Figures, etc. Discussion should reflect the interpretation of the findings with respect to the study and past relevant studies.

Tables and Figures: Tables and figures should be self-explanatory and easy to comprehend. The same data should not be presented using table and graph. Tables should have simple headings.

Units of Measurement: Units of measurement should be presented using System International (SI) units

Conclusion: Conclusion should reflect the importance of the work. Recommendation may be included, if necessary.

Acknowledgments: Acknowledgement may be included, if necessary.

Reference format

CITATIONS should be numbered in square brackets in the manuscript text and listed in the REFERENCES section in the order they appear in the text. Examples are shown below:
